Dorignac’s is looking for qualified people who want to be part of the long-standing customer service oriented history of this iconic New Orleans grocery store!  Please complete an application to begin the process. Our store is open from 7:00am-9:00pm.  Applications may be completed at the store or dropped off any time during those hours.

All applicants must be able to pass background checks including drug and alcohol screens.

 

We are currently looking to fill the below positions:

 

MEAT DEPARTMENT STAFF – MANAGEMENT AND CLERKS (Full-time)

Accepting applications for meat department positions. Ability to work until 6:00pm-7:00pm is needed.

 

SHORT ORDER COOK (Full-time)

Experience working under pressure preparing food while working directly with customers. Must have excellent customer service skills and an excellent presentation.

 

DELI CLERK (Full-time)

Will work mostly from 11:30am-8:00pm, but candidates should have some flexibility to work other shifts. Weekends and holidays are required. Experience slicing meats and cheeses for customers is a plus, but it is not required. If you have a great customer service focus and are willing to learn, we can teach you how to slice.

 

CASHIER (25-40 hours per week)

The ideal candidates will have top notch customer service skills, have a positive, upbeat attitude, have a neat, clean appearance, be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time, be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and have basic math skills. If you have the customer service skills, we can train you for this position so you do not need prior experience as a cashier.

 

BAGGER (Full-time, 30-40 hours per week)

The ideal candidates will have top notch customer service skills, have a positive, upbeat attitude, have a neat, clean appearance, be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time, be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to work any time between the hours of 7:00am-9:00pm is a must.

 

STORE PORTER (Full-time or Part-time)

Helping to maintain a clean store by cleaning bathrooms, breakroom, emptying trash cans, cleaning spills, sweeping, mopping, putting boxes in baler, helping to unload trucks when needed and assisting with various other projects around the store. Open availability needed between the hours of 7:00am-9:00pm and weekends and holidays.

 

LIQUOR WAREHOUSE CLERK (Full-time)

Unload delivery trucks for liquor department, stock product in warehouse, clean warehouse space, work approximately 9am-6pm.

 

PRODUCE WAREHOUSE CLERK (Full-time)

Prior experience stocking produce strongly preferred. Open availability needed. Work with product in cooler, unloading trucks, keeping warehouse area clean, etc.

 

PRODUCE CLERK (Full-time)

Prior experience stocking produce strongly preferred. Open availability needed.

 

Liquor Customer Service/Stocker (Full-time)

Basic knowledge of wine, spirits and beer is required. Excellent personal presentation and customer service skills required. This position requires heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, unloading trucks, and stocking shelves. Stooping, bending, stretching, reaching and standing on your feet for hours at a time are all required abilities for this work. Reading, writing and basic math skills are also a must!

 

CATERING DESK CLERK (Full-time)

Help answer store phones, take catering orders in person and on the phone, fill cold cases with catering foods for sale, etc. Must be able to use Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Caterease is strongly preferred. Must be well-spoken with a neat, tidy appearance.

 

CATERING CLERK (Full-time)

Assist in preparing the food for the catered food orders – salads, finger sandwiches, potato salad, etc.

 

FLORAL CLERK (Full-time)

Experience designing, making corsages, etc. Able to work any hours between 7:00am-9:00pm with most work needed until 6:00pm. Must be able to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. A license is NOT necessary.
