Dorignac’s is looking for qualified people who want to be part of the long-standing customer service oriented history of this iconic New Orleans grocery store!  Please complete an application to begin the process. Our store is open from 7:00am-9:00pm.  Applications may be completed at the store or dropped off any time during those hours.

We are currently looking to fill the below positions:

 

Full-time Management Positions in our Meat, Seafood  and Gourmet Cheese Circle Departments. To apply, please email a resume to Judith at jbroussard@dorignacs.com or stop by our Customer Service desk.

 

 

 

DAIRY (Part-time, afternoon/evenings)

No overnight work. Must be able to reach over your head to stock, sit on the floor, push a couple of hundred pounds on a cart, pull a couple of hundred pounds on a cart, work in a cold environment, lift up to 50 pounds, be on your feet for long periods of time (up to 4 or 5 hours at a time). Prior dairy stocking experience is preferred.

 

 

MEAT DEPARTMENT STAFF – CLERK, CUTTER, SPECIAL CUTS, MANAGEMENT (Full-time)

Accepting applications for meat department positions.  Prior experience required for cutter.  Prior experience preferred for special cuts and clerk.  Ability to work until 6:00pm -7:00pm is needed.

 

SEAFOOD MANAGER (Full-time)

Experience with fresh seafood required.  Able to work any hours between 6:30am-9:00pm any day of the week.  Supervisory experience is a plus.  Work in a grocery store environment is a plus.

 

SEAFOOD CLERK (Full-time)

Experience with fresh seafood preferred.  Able to work any hours between 6:30am-9:00pm any day of the week.

 

PRODUCE CLERK (Full-time)

Prior experience stocking produce strongly preferred. Open availability needed.

 

FRY COOK (Full-time)

Must have prior frying experience, preferably in a high volume job.  Also responsible for rotisserie items.  Breakfast cooking experience is a plus.  Work two days a week from 5am-1pm.  Other days, work approximately 9am-6pm.

 

CASHIER (25-40 hours per week)

The ideal candidates will have top notch customer service skills, have a positive, upbeat attitude, have a neat, clean appearance, be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time, be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and have basic math skills.  If you have the customer service skills, we can train you for this position so you do not need prior experience as a cashier.

 

BAGGER (Full-time, 30-40 hours per week)

The ideal candidates will have top notch customer service skills, have a positive, upbeat attitude, have a neat, clean appearance, be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time, be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.  Ability to work any time between the hours of 7:00am-9:00pm is a must.
