Dorignac’s is looking for qualified people who want to be part of the long-standing customer service oriented history of this iconic New Orleans grocery store!  Please complete an application to begin the process. Our store is open from 7:00am-9:00pm.  Applications may be completed at the store or dropped off any time during those hours.

All applicants must be able to pass background checks including drug and alcohol screens.

 

We are currently looking to fill the below positions:

 

Full-time Management Positions in our Meat and Seafood  Departments. To apply, please email a resume to Judith at jbroussard@dorignacs.com or stop by our Customer Service desk.

 

BAGGER (Full-time, 30-40 hours per week)

The ideal candidates will have top notch customer service skills, have a positive, upbeat attitude, have a neat, clean appearance, be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time, be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to work any time between the hours of 7:00am-9:00pm is a must.

 

CASHIER (25-40 hours per week)

The ideal candidates will have top notch customer service skills, have a positive, upbeat attitude, have a neat, clean appearance, be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time, be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and have basic math skills. If you have the customer service skills, we can train you for this position so you do not need prior experience as a cashier.

 

ASSISTANT DELI MANAGER (Full-time)

Must have prior experience working in a deli as well as supervisory experience. Must have open availability.

 

MEAT DEPARTMENT STAFF – CUTTER, MANAGEMENT (Full-time)           

Accepting applications for meat department positions. Prior experience required for cutter. Prior experience preferred for special cuts and clerk. Ability to work until 6:00pm-7:00pm is needed.

 

DAIRY STOCKER (Full-time)

No overnight work. Must be able to reach over your head to stock, sit on the floor to stock, push a couple of hundred pounds on a cart, pull a couple of hundred pounds on a cart, work in a cold environment, lift up to 50 pounds, be on your feet for long periods of time (up to 4 or 5 hours at a time). Prior dairy stocking experience preferred.

 

SEAFOOD MANAGER (Full-time)

Experience with fresh seafood required. Able to work any hours between 6:30am-9:00pm any day of the week. Supervisory experience is a plus. Work in a grocery store environment is a plus.

 

SEAFOOD CLERK (Full-time)

Experience with fresh seafood preferred. Able to work any hours between 6:30am-9:00pm any day of the week.

 

DELI CLERK (Full-time)

Will work mostly from 11:30am-8:00pm, but candidates should have some flexibility to work other shifts. Weekends and holidays are required. Experience slicing meats and cheeses for customers is a plus, but it is not required. If you have a great customer service focus and are willing to learn, we can teach you how to slice.

 

GROCERY STOCKER (Full-time)

No overnight work. Must be able to reach over your head to stock, sit on the floor to stock, push a couple of hundred pounds on a cart, pull a couple of hundred pounds on a cart, work in both hot and cold environments, lift up to 50 pounds, be on your feet for long periods of time (up to 4 or 5 hours at a time). Prior grocery stocking experience preferred.

 

CART PUSHER (Full-time)

This staff member will work in the parking lot rounding up buggies. You MUST be willing to work in all kinds of weather – heat, cold, rain, wind, etc. You MUST be able to be on your feet all day moving around.

 

BAKERY PORTER (Full-time)

Steward type work – cleaning bakery equipment, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, unloading trucks, stocking supplies, etc.
